One of our favorite things to do every year is to drive around enjoying the beautiful holiday lights in Dallas / Fort Worth. Kevin and I will pack cups and a thermos of hot cocoa, set the car radio to the Christmas music station and tour some of the local communities. This time of year is special to us for several reasons, but one of those is because we were engaged during the Christmas holidays. He proposed in a park which was blanketed in fresh snow, reflecting the millions of twinkle lights dancing around us. It was so beautiful and magical. And I mention the fresh snow because it’s a rare sight during the Christmas season in North Texas!
Every year we find new communities and events to go see to celebrate the season. And since I was creating a list of places we may want to go see this year, I thought I’d share the list and add of some of the best places to view holiday lights in D/FW for all of you! It makes a wonderful date to go see the lights, plus you can see them from your car, by plane, or by horse & carriage!
